Gravity Will Go Up Without Angelina Jolie

It looks like Gravity is a “no go” after all for Angelina Jolie. Word is that she passed on the film.

Robert Downey Jr (LOVE him!) is in negotiation to star as the male lead character of “Gravity”, a 3D space film produced by Warner Bros and Legendary Pictures.

Should the deal go through, then Downey will be the team leader of a group who is posted at a remote space station, Deadline who was first to break the casting news said. In the script written by Cuaron and his son Jonas, Downey’s character and a female colleague will travel outside the space station while the other members “are decimated by debris from an exploded satellite.”

“Gravity” will be shooting in London this summer, just before “Sherlock Holmes 2″ starts shooting in early fall.

I’m honestly not sure I believe this one or not, but online reports allege that Johnny Depp’s beautiful longtime girlfriend (and mother of his two children) Vanessa Paradis wants him to pull out of The Tourist.Seh apparently objected to passionate sex scenes he is filming with Angelina Jolie for The Tourist.

Of course, everyone is speculating that Vanessa wants him to ditch the project because of sexy scenes with Angelina. From what I’ve read, Vanessa Paradis is too confident and too cool to pull something like that, but who knows?
Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie have been filming for days in Venice, but Vaness Paradis is still trying to persuade him to pull out of the project, according to a report in the New York Post.

Of course, this could all be extra publicity for a movie that’s already getting a ton… you can never have too much, after all.

‘He’s currently trying to get out of the movie, but I don’t know if he’s succeeded,’ the source told the Post. But he’s trying, and they’re talking about replacing him with Brad Pitt or Leonardo DiCaprio.’

Life & Style Magazine has obtained a copy of a draft of writer Julian Fellowes’ screenplay for The Tourist, and it describes the steamy shower sex scene between the two. I won’t print it here because I don’t like for things about movies to be given away before I see them, so I won’t do it to you. Surprises are nice… especially when they involve Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp in a shower. Or Leonardo DiCaprio… Or Brad Pitt…..

Angelina Jolie Chooses Gravity and Isn’t Feeling Wanted

Unfortunately, it appears that Wanted 2 isn’t going to happen after all. Earlier this month, Mark Millar confirmed that Universal Pictures was moving forward with a “Wanted” sequel adding that a script was almost complete. News now, however, is that the movie isn’t going to happen.

Apparently the studio was expecting for Angelina Jolie to return for “Wanted 2,” but she has decided, instead, to head the cast of “Gravity,” a space thriller. Gravity will be directed by Alfonso Cuaron (Children of Men).

Instead of recasting Jolie’s character, Fox, or simply allowing the character to have died, Universal decided to just abandon the sequel. Unfortunate. As a huge fan of the movie, I think they could have moved forward with James McAvoy and brought on a new main female (Maggie Q, Mila Kunis, Zoe Saldana…).

In “Gravity,” Angelina will play the sole surviving human member of a space mission, desperately trying to return home to Earth and her daughter. Angelina Jolie will be alone on-screen for much of the movie – Maybe like Tom Hanks in Castaway?

As the biggest Angelina Jolie fan to ever live – I can get behind that! The Wanted and James McAvoy fan in me is pretty disappointed, though.

I loved Wanted so much I could watch it about three times a week. I thought it was an outstanding and brilliantly-done movie. The action scenes were spectacular but I think I liked the humor even more – Angelina Jolie, Morgan Freeman, and James McAvoy were perfect for this movie.

Now all of their splendor is larger than life – on Blu-Ray. Can you imagine the scenes of Angelina and James on top of the train in blu-ray? Breathtaking.

You can buy Wanted [Blu-ray] at Amazon today and have it to watch (again and again) by the weekend. As a matter of fact, I order a lot of things on Amazon and get them the very next day.

They’re like Angelina – the reason they’re number one is they’re freaking flawless.

Angelina Jolie’s Voice Coach Says Oh No We Didn’t

Howard Samuelsohn , The voice coach who helped Angelina Jolie speak Russian in her latest thriller “Salt” has spoken out to deny any foolish rumors that say he had an affair with gorgeous actress.

He spent time with the actress to perfect her Soviet accent for the new movie, in which she plays a Russian sleeper agent.

But following speculation Jolie had a fling with her dialect coach during production, Samuelsohn has come forward to blast reports that he hooked up with her at New York hotel The Waldorf Astoria – insisting he is too “short and middle-aged” for Jolie to be interested in him.

He tells RadarOnline.com, “I’m 5′6, I’m 51 years old, and I’ve never been to The Waldorf. I would like for someone to get the word out. (This) is total bull[bleep].”

He very well may have never been to The Waldorf and I doubt they did have an affair, but to insinuate that being 5′6 or 51 would be a turnoff? He needs to pay more attention to Hollywood! Some of the sexiest, most popular actors are between 40 and 60 and no one gives a darn about height… except basketball recruiters!

Angelina Jolie’s infamous on-screen character Lara Croft has been voted as the the most successful female character in computer game history. Jolie played Croft in the “Tomb Raider” series and the computer game based on the same has picked up six awards in the new Guinness World Records Gamer Edition, reports dailystar.co.uk.

“Lara epitomises all that’s great about video gaming. We’re delighted to acknowledge her success,” said Gaz Deaves, editor of Guinness World Records Gaming.

James McAvoy recently spoke about the possibility of Wanted 2, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

While at a new years eve party, the actor got a call from director Timur Bekmambetov.

“I got a call from Timur just as the bell struck 12,” McAvoy said in a group interview on Friday in Beverly Hills, where he was promoting The Last Station. “He said, ‘I will call you in two weeks and maybe have something to tell you then.’”

“[Bekmambetov] basically said, ‘Happy new year,’” McAvoy said. “I was like, ‘Are you calling me about the film or for New Year?’ So I don’t know what’s happening.”

Angelina Jolie and Johnny Depp will co-star in the thriller The Tourist, set for a 2011 release. What’s more, according to the script, they share shower time.

The script for the upcoming thriller The Tourist (2011) by Oscar winner Julian Fellowes (Gosford Park) includes a sequence where the characters, set to be played by Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie, share a shower love scene.

In the movie, Johnny Depp’s character finds that an Interpol agent (Angelina Jolie) is using him to bait a criminal from her own past. It’s a remake of a 2005 thriller.

Life & Style magazine recently released a script excerpt from The Tourist: “Cara turns abruptly to Frank and presses her body against his. He’s taken by surprise but willingly responds to her advance, wrapping his arms around her back. They exchange a long, passionate kiss.”

I’ve been hoping for two forevers that my favorite actor and actress would make a movie together… I couldn’t be more excited at the prospect!

Angelina Jolie Gets Patricia Cornwell’s Approval

Angelina Jolie would be “brilliant” as forensic medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta, according to the character’s creator, author Patricia Cornwell.

Patricia Cornwell, the award-winning writer behind the crime thrillers starring Dr. Kay Scarpetta, admits that she’s happy for the award-winning star to take on the coveted role.

“She has an interesting edge to her, I just have no doubt in my mind that she’ll do a brilliant job if she’s given the opportunity,” she said.

“If Angelina does do it, and it’s an if – she has to like the screenplay and be happy with everything – she will bring something very interesting to it. She will probably bring things to the character that go beyond what I do with it.”

She added: “I think she can play anything she wants, and it’s not just because she’s a superstar. This is a very gifted, very intelligent person and she’s a very fine actress – and a very courageous one for that matter.”

Patricia has already met up with the Oscar-winning actress and given her tips. “When I saw her last April, I told her ‘I hope Scarpetta takes you over like she has me, because if she does, then you will play her the way she ought to be played’.”

Here’s the much-anticipated poster for Angelina Jolie’s upcoming thriller Salt! It’s as gorgeous as we’d hoped.

Salt will be in theaters next July. The film centers around mysterious Evelyn A. Salt (Angelina Jolie), a rogue CIA operative trying to clear her name.

“She’s a character you never know,” Lorenzo di Bonaventura told USA Today. “People who think they know the real her may or may not. Those who think they can tell whether she’s in a disguise also may or may not … She tells you her agenda, but are you supposed to believe it?”

The role was intended for Tom Cruise but was totally rewritten for Angelina Jolie after Cruise dropped out.
